Welcome to the Consular Division of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Rome.

The Sri Lanka Embassy in Rome, Italy is accredited to Cyprus, Greece, Malta, and Albania. The Embassy is authorized to consider applications submitted in respect of consular services from the aforesaid countries.

The consular section of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Rome is now being opened on every week day Consular Hours -Week Days 09.30 A.M. - 02.00 P.M. Collection of daily Documents 03.00 P.M.-04.45 P.M.

The applications in connection with the registration of births of children should be handed over to the consular counters before 3.00 p.m on every week day.

Additionally, the consular section of the Embassy of Sri Lanka is being opened on every Sunday only for the consular requirements of Sri Lankans.

Specially ,on every Sunday , the consular section only accepts the applications submitted by individuals , his/her personal documents and consular requests etc. If the applicants require to obtain consular services for their spouses or children, it is required to prove their relationship with necessary documents .Such requests could only be accepted if proved precisely . Under no circumstances, documents of third parties, relations and friends will be accepted on Sundays.

Please note that all consular requests together with necessary documents are required to be handed over to the consular section before 2.00 p.m on every Sunday.

Consular services are provided on first come first served basis and prior appointments are not necessary or given.

Sri Lankans who visit the Embassy to obtain any consular service are required to submit their individual original passports together with the original passports of all others who are connected to the requested consular service, to the consular section for inspection.
