His Excellency the Ambassador Asitha Perera presented his Credentials to the President of the Italian Republic, His Excellency Giorgio Napolitano, on Monday 28th November at the Quirinale (Presidential Palace) in Rome.
Ambassador Asitha Perera is Sri Lanka's 16th Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Italy.
Following the presentation of Credentials, Ambassador Asitha Perera conveyed the personal felicitations and warm greetings of His Excellency President Mahinda Rajapaksa to President Giorgio Napolitano and thereafter held bilateral relations between the two countries. Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata joined the discussions.
